ಪ್ರಜಾವಾಣಿ, ಮುಂಗಾರು, ಲಂಕೇಶ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹಲವು ಮಾಧ್ಯಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದ ಕ್ರೀಯಾಶೀಲ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತ ಮತ್ತು ಉಲ್ಟಾ ಪಲ್ಟಾ ಚಿತ್ರ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನ ಖ್ಯಾತಿಯ ಎನ್.ಎಸ್.ಶಂಕರ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಧನರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಶಂಕರ್ ನಿಧನಕ್ಕೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರತ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರ ಸಂಘ ತೀವ್ರ ಸಂತಾಪ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದೆ.

ಶಂಕರ್ ಅವರ ಹಿರಿತನದ ವೃತ್ತಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿ ಕೆಯುಡಬ್ಲ್ಯೂಜೆ ಮನೆಯಂಗಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಿದ್ದು ಮರೆಯಲಾಗದ ಸಂಗತಿ ಎಂದು ನೆನಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರತ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರ ಸಂಘದ ರಾಜ್ಯಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶಿವಾನಂದ ತಗಡೂರು ಅವರು ನೆನಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

KUWJ Mourns the Demise of
N.S. Shankar

Bengaluru:
Karnataka Union of Working Journalists (KUWJ) has expressed profound grief over the demise of veteran journalist and filmmaker N.S. Shankar, who passed away in Bengaluru.

Shankar had an illustrious career in journalism, serving with leading publications such as Prajavani, Mungaru, and Lankesh. He was also widely known for directing the acclaimed Kannada film Ulta Palta.

Expressing condolences, KUWJ State President Shivanand Tagadur recalled that the union had the privilege of honouring Shankar during a programme held under KUWJ’s Maneyangala initiative in recognition of his distinguished contribution to journalism.

“His remarkable professional legacy and invaluable service to the media fraternity will always be remembered,” Tagadur said.

Praying for the departed soul, Tagadur conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and wished them strength and courage to bear the irreparable loss.
