ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿಯು ‘ಫೋಕಸ್ ಆನ್ ನ್ಯೂಸ್ -2.0’ (Focus on News – 2.0) ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸುದ್ದಿ ಛಾಯಾಚಿತ್ರ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ಮತ್ತು ಸರ್ಧೆಯನ್ನು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯಿಂದ ಘೋಷಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇದು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಫೋಟೋ ಜರ್ನಲಿಸಂ (ಛಾಯಾಚಿತ್ರ ಪತ್ರಿಕೋದ್ಯಮ) ಕಲೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ಪ್ರಭಾವಕ್ಕೆ ಮೀಸಲಾದ ಒಂದು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿದೆ.
2026ರ ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 3 ಮತ್ತು 4 ರಂದು ಚಿತ್ರಕಲಾ ಪರಿಷತ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಲಿರುವ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು, ಆಧುನಿಕ ಸುದ್ದಿ ಛಾಯಾಚಿತ್ರಗ್ರಹಣದ ನೈಜ ಶಕ್ತಿ, ನೈತಿಕತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸತ್ಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಮನಹರಿಸುತ್ತ, ಇತಿಹಾಸವನ್ನು ನೈಜ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೆರೆಹಿಡಿಯುವ ದೃಶ್ಯ ಕಥೆಗಾರರನ್ನು (visual storytellers) ಗೌರವಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ಛಾಯಾಚಿತ್ರಗಳ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನದ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯನ್ನೂ ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಖ್ಯಾತ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಫೋಟೋ ಜರ್ನಲಿಸ್ಟ್ ಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಹಿರಿಯ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರ ಸಂವಾದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳೂ ಇವೆ. ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಕ್ಯಾಮರಾ ಬ್ರಾಂಡ್ಗಳು ಸುದ್ದಿ ಛಾಯಾಚಿತ್ರಗ್ರಹಣದ ಕುರಿತು ಎರಡು ವಿಶೇಷ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಗಾರಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲಿವೆ. ಇವು ಉದ್ಯಮದ ಅತ್ಯಾಧುನಿಕ ಉಪಕರಣಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆಳವಾದ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಮೌಲ್ಯಯುತವಾದ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ತರಬೇತಿಯನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಲಿವೆ.
ಆಕರ್ಷಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಮುಖ್ಯಾಂಶಗಳು:
ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಮಟ್ಟದ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆ: ದೇಶದಾದ್ಯಂತದ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಛಾಯಾಚಿತ್ರಗಳ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆ ಇದಾಗಿದೆ. ಖ್ಯಾತ ತೀರ್ಪುಗಾರರು ಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ 1ನೇ, 2ನೇ ಮತ್ತು 3ನೇ ಬಹುಮಾನಗಳನ್ನು (ರೂ. 35,000. ರೂ. 25,000 ಮತ್ತು ರೂ. 15,000) ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ವಿಶೇಷ ವಿಭಾಗ: 2025ರ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಛಾಯಾಚಿತ್ರ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನದಿಂದ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾದ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಛಾಯಾಚಿತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸುವ ವಿಶೇಷ ಗ್ಯಾಲರಿ.
ಕ್ಯಾಮೆರಾ ವಿಕಸನ ಗ್ಯಾಲರಿ: ದಶಕಗಳ ಕಾಲ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನದಲ್ಲಿನ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಂಬಿಸುವ, ಹಿಂದೆಂದೂ ಕಾಣದಂತಹ ಅಪರೂಪದ ಹಳೆಯ (ವಿಂಟೇಜ್) ಮತ್ತು ಆಧುನಿಕ ಕ್ಯಾಮೆರಾಗಳ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ.
ನೇರ ಸಂವಾದಾತ್ಮಕ ಅಧಿವೇಶನಗಳು: ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರಿಗೆ ಖ್ಯಾತ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಛಾಯಾಗ್ರಾಹಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಅನುಭವಿ ತೀರ್ಪುಗಾರರೊಂದಿಗೆ ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಸಂವಾದ ನಡೆಸುವ ಅವಕಾಶ.

ಸೆಲ್ಫಿ ಪಾಯಿಂಟ್: ಸಂದರ್ಶಕರು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನದ ಅನುಭವದ ನೆನಪುಗಳನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಹಿಡಿಯಲು ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸಗೊಳಿಸಲಾದ ವಲಯ.
ವಿಶೇಷ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಗಾರಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ತರಬೇಥಿ ಅವಧಿಗಳು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಉಚಿತವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ವೃತ್ತಪರ ಛಾಯಾಗ್ರಾಹಕರು, ಪತ್ರಿಕೋದ್ಯಮ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಸುದ್ದಿ ಛಾಯಾಗ್ರಹಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಸಕ್ತಿಯಿರುವ ಯಾರಿಗಾದರೂ ಮುಕ್ತವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಆಯೇμÁ ಖಾನಮ್ ಅವರು “ಇದು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಆಸಕ್ತಿದಾಯಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಸುದ್ದಿ ಛಾಯಾಗ್ರಹಣದ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಲು ಇದು ನೆರವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಒಂದು ಚಿತ್ರವು ಸಾವಿರ ಪದಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನ ಎಂಬ ಹಳೆಯ ನಾಣ್ಣುಡಿಯ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಈಗ ಒಂದೇ ಚೌಕಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತರಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಸರ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ ನಾಮನಿರ್ದೇಶಿತರಾದ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಹಾಗೂ ಹಿರಿಯ ಛಾಯಾ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತ ವೆಂಕಟೇಶ್ ಅವರ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಬೆಂಬಲದೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಅವರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನ ಮತ್ತು ಲೆನ್ಸ್ನ ಮೂಲಕ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಸಂಯೋಜಿಸಲು ನಮಗೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ.” ಎಂದು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.

Karnataka Media Academy proudly announces ‘Focus on News – 2.0’ National News Photography Exhibition and Conference. It is a major event dedicated entirely to the art of photojournalism and its impact.
To be held on 3rd and 4th August 2026 at Chitrakala Parishad, the event will honour visual storytellers who capture history in real time, focusing on the true power, ethics and truth of modern news photography.
The event will feature an exhibition of the best news photographs as well as a national-level competition. There will also be interactive sessions with renowned national photojournalists and senior journalists. Leading global camera brands will conduct two special technical workshops on news photography. These will provide in-depth technical knowledge and valuable practical training along with the latest equipment in the industry.
Highlights of the exciting programme:
National Competition: This is a competition of the best photographs from across the country. Eminent judges will select the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes (Rs. 35,000. Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 15,000) respectively.
Karnataka Special Section: A special gallery showcasing the best photographs selected from the 2025 State Photography Exhibition.
Camera Evolution Gallery: A never-before-seen exhibition of rare vintage and modern cameras, reflecting the changes in technology over the decades.
Live Interactive Sessions: An opportunity for the audience to interact directly with renowned national photographers and experienced judges.
Interesting Panel Discussion: “Focus on News Photojournalists: Redefining Every Shot” 2 keynote discussions.
Selfie Point: A specially designed area for visitors to capture memories of the exhibition experience.
Special technical workshops and hands-on training sessions are completely free and open to professional photographers, journalism students and anyone interested in news photography.

The old adage that a picture is worth a thousand words is now being brought into a single framework. With the invaluable support of the government-nominated members and senior photojournalist Venkatesh, we have been able to successfully compile the best images through his perspective and lens.”
