ಕೊಪ್ಪಳ: ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ವಿವಿಧೆಡೆ ಮಳೆಗೆ ಹಾಳಾಗಿರುವ ತೋಟಗಾರಿಕೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೃಷಿ ಬೆಳೆ ಬೆಳೆದ ರೈತರಿಗೆ ಸರಕಾರ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಪ್ರತಿ ಎಕರೆಗೆ 5 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂ. ಪರಿಹಾರ ಕೊಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ನಾಯಕರು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದರು. ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಹೊಸಹಳ್ಳಿ, ಮುದ್ದಾಬಳ್ಳಿ, ಹ್ಯಾಟಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ರೈತರ ಹೊಲಗಳಿಗೆ ಭಾನುವಾರ ಬೆಳಂ-ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆ ಅನ್ನದಾತರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ, ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿದರು. ಏಕಾಏಕಿ ಸುರಿದ ಮಳೆಗೆ ಬೆಳೆ ಹಾಳಾಗಿರುವುದನ್ನು ರೈತರು ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ನಾಯಕರಿಗೆ ತೊರಿಸಿದರು. ಬಾಳೆ ಬೆಳೆ, ಕಬ್ಬು, ಎಲೆ ನೂರಾರು ಎಕರೆ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಳಾಗಿರುವುದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ನಾಯಕರು ಮಮ್ಮಲ ಮರಗಿದರು.
ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಕೊಪ್ಪಳ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ನಿಕಟಪೂರ್ವ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿ ಡಾ.ಬಸವರಾಜ ಕ್ಯಾವಟರ್ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ರೈತರು ಕಷ್ಟ ಪಟ್ಟು ಬೆಳೆದ ಬೆಳೆಗಳೆಲ್ಲ ಹಾಳಾಗಿರುವುದು ಸಂಕಟ ತಂದಿದೆ. ಎಕರೆಗೆ ಲಕ್ಷಾಂತರ ರೂ. ಖರ್ಚು ಮಾಡಿ, ಇನ್ನೇನು ಬೆಳೆ ಕೈಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ ಎನ್ನುವಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ ಅಕಾಲಿಕ ಮಳೆಗೆ ಬೆಳೆ ಹಾಳಾಗಿದೆ. ಸರಕಾರ, ಹಾಳಾದ ಬೆಳೆಗೆ ಎಕರೆಗೆ 22,500 ರೂ. ಕೊಡಲು ಮುಂದಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಇದು, ಸರಿಯಲ್ಲ. ಎಕರೆಗೆ ಕನಿಷ್ಠ 5 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂ. ಪರಿಹಾರ ಕೊಡಬೇಕು. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ, ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ಹಲವು ರೈತರು ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ 1.5 ಲಕ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊಲ ಪಡೆದು ಉಳುಮೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇತ್ತ ಬೆಳೆ ಬೆಳೆ ಬೆಳೆಯಲು 2 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂ.ವರೆಗೆ ಖರ್ಚು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಸರಕಾರ ಕೊಡುವ 22500 ರೂ. ಪರಿಹಾರ ಯಾವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಸಾಲುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಕೂಡಲೇ ಪರಿಹಾರವನ್ನು 5 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂ. ಗೆ ಏರಿಸಿ ಎಂದು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದರು. ವಿಧಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್ ಸದಸ್ಯೆ ಹೇಮಲತಾ ನಾಯಕ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಅಕಾಲಿಕ ಮಳೆಗೆ ರೈತರು ಬೆಳೆದ ತೋಟಗಾರಿಕೆ ಬೆಳೆಗಳು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಹಾಳಾಗಿವೆ. ರೈತರ ಕಷ್ಟವನ್ನು ನೋಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ನಮಗೆಲ್ಲ ಅನ್ನ ಕೊಡುವ ರೈತನಿಗೆ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟ ಎದುರಾಗಿದೆ.
ಸರಕಾರ, ಈ ವಿಚಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಮಾಡದೇ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಹಾರ ವಿತರಣೆಗೆ ಕ್ರಮ ವಹಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದರು.
ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಹಾಗೂ ನಗರ ಮಂಡಲದ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ವೀರೇಶ ಸಜ್ಜನ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಮರೇಶ ಮುರುಳಿ, ಮುಖಂಡರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಪ್ಪಣ್ಣ ಪದಕಿ, ಶ್ರೀ ಮಹಾಂತೇಶ್ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಮೈನಳ್ಳಿ, ಶ್ರೀ ಚಂದ್ರಶೇಖರ ಕವಲೂರ್, ಹಲವರ್ತಿ ವೆಂಕಟೇಶ್, ಗಣೇಶ ಹೊರತಟ್ನಾಳ್, ಪ್ರದೀಪ್ ಹಿಟ್ನಾಳ್, ರಮೇಶ ಕವಲೂರ್, ಯೋಗಾನಂದ ಲೇಬಗೇರಿ, ಚನ್ನಬಸವ ಗಾಳಿ, ಗವಿ ಹಲವರ್ತಿ , ಮಾರುತಿ ಹಡಪದ, ಗುರಪ್ಪ, ದೇವರಾಜ ಹಾಲಸಮುದ್ರ, ಸಿದ್ದನಗೌಡ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು., ನೂರಾರು ರೈತರು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಮುಖಂಡರು, ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರಿದ್ದರು.
Give Rs 5 lakh per acre – BJP leaders urge government

Koppal: The district BJP leaders demanded that the government should immediately give Rs 5 lakh per acre as compensation to farmers whose horticultural and agricultural crops were damaged by rain in various parts of the district. They visited the fields of farmers in Hosahalli, Muddaballi, and Hatti villages of the taluk with food vendors on Sunday and inspected them. The farmers showed the BJP leaders that the crops had been damaged due to the sudden rain. The BJP leaders were shocked to see that banana crops, sugarcane, and leaves were damaged in hundreds of acres.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Basavaraj Cavatar, the immediate candidate for the Koppal Lok Sabha constituency, said that it is a matter of distress that all the crops grown by the farmers with hard work have been damaged. They spend lakhs of rupees per acre and wonder what else the crop will be, but the crop has been damaged due to untimely rain. The government is offering Rs 22,500 per acre as compensation for the damaged crop. However, this is not right. At least Rs 5 lakh per acre should be given as compensation. Also, many farmers have taken land on lease basis for Rs 1.5 lakh per year and ploughed it. Meanwhile, they have spent up to Rs 2 lakh to grow the crop. Therefore, the Rs 22,500 compensation given by the government is not enough for anything. They demanded that the compensation be increased to Rs 5 lakh immediately. Legislative Council member Hemalatha Nayaka said that the horticultural crops grown by the farmers have been completely destroyed due to untimely rains. The farmers’ hardships are not being seen. The farmers who provide us with food are facing difficulties.
She demanded that the government should not neglect this issue and immediately take action to distribute compensation at a higher level.
Rural and urban BJP presidents Mr. Veeresh Sajjan and Mr. Amaresh Murali, leaders Mr. Appanna Padaki, Mr. Mahantesh Patil Mainalli, Mr. Chandrashekar Kavalur, Halvarthi Venkatesh, Ganesh Horattnal, Pradeep Hitnal, Ramesh Kavalur, Yogananda Lebageri, Channabasava Gali, Gavi Halvarthi, Maruti Hadapada, Gurappa, Devaraj Halasamudra, Siddana Gowda Patil and locals were present. Hundreds of farmers, BJP party leaders and activists were present.
