ಕೊಪ್ಪಳ : ಸಂಘರ್ಷಮಯ ವಾತಾವರಣದ ಜಗತ್ತಿಗೆ ಮಹಾವೀರರ ತತ್ವಗಳು ಸರ್ವಕಾಲಕ್ಕೂ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತವಾಗಿವೆ ಎಂದು ಕನ್ನಡ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಸಹಾಯಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಕರ್ಣಕುಮಾರ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
ಅವರು ಮಂಗಳವಾರ ಕೊಪ್ಪಳ ನಗರದ ಅಶೋಕ ವೃತ್ತದಲ್ಲಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಡಳಿತ, ಕನ್ನಡ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೊಪ್ಪಳ ನಗರಸಭೆ ಸಹಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಗವಾನ್ ಮಹಾವೀರರ ಜಯಂತಿಯ ಪ್ರಯುಕ್ತ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆಗೆ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.

Koppal: Assistant Director of the Kannada and Culture Department Karnakumara expressed his opinion that Mahavira’s principles are always relevant to a world in a conflict-ridden environment.
He was speaking after flagging off a procession organized on the occasion of Lord Mahavira’s Jayanti at Ashoka Circle in Koppal city on Tuesday in collaboration with the District Administration, Kannada and Culture Department and Koppal Municipal Council.
Many of the challenges facing society can be overcome through the thoughts and messages of philosophers. The need to build a harmonious society by following the message of Lord Mahavira, truth and non-violence is more urgent than ever. He said that the principles and supreme messages of peace of Mahavira, who was the 24th Tirthankar of Jains, have become a guiding light for today’s world.
On this occasion, Jain Society President Mahindra Chopra and community members were present.
*Meaningful procession:* As part of Lord Mahavir Jayanti, a procession of Mahavir’s portrait started from Ashoka Circle in the city and proceeded through Jawahar Road, Clock Tower to Jain Basadi on Kote Road, where a puja program was held. Then from there, it again proceeded through Clock Tower to Jain Mandir on Goshala Road with the slogans of peace, which was meaningful. Society leaders, women and children participated in the procession.
ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕವಾಗಿ ಕಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಅನೇಕ ಸವಾಲುಗಳು ನಿವಾರಣೆಯಾಗಲು ದಾರ್ಶನಿಕರ ಚಿಂತನೆ, ಸಂದೇಶಗಳಿಂದ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿದೆ. ಭಗವಾನ್ ಮಹಾವೀರರ ಸಂದೇಶ, ಸತ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಅಹಿಂಸಾ ಪಾಲನೆಯಿಂದ ಸಾಮರಸ್ಯದ ಸಮಾಜ ಕಟ್ಟುವ ಅಗತ್ಯತೆ ಹಿಂದೆಂದಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಈಗ ಇದೆ. ಜೈನರ 24ನೇ ತೀರ್ಥಂಕರರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಮಹಾವೀರರ ತತ್ವ ಹಾಗೂ ಶಾಂತಿಯ ಪರಮೋಚ್ಚ ಸಂದೇಶಗಳು ಇಂದಿನ ವಿಶ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ದಾರಿ ದೀಪವಾಗಿವೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಜೈನ ಸಮಾಜದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಮಹೀಂದ್ರ ಚೋಪ್ರಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮಾಜ ಬಾಂಧವರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.
*ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆ:* ಭಗವಾನ್ ಮಹಾವೀರ ಜಯಂತಿ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಮಹಾವೀರರ ಭಾವಚಿತ್ರದ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆ ನಗರದ ಅಶೋಕ ವೃತ್ತದಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಗೊಂಡು ಜವಾಹರ ರಸ್ತೆ, ಗಡಿಯಾರ ಕಂಬದ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಕೋಟೆ ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಜೈನ್ ಬಸದಿವರೆಗೆ ಸಾಗಿ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಪೂಜಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಜರುಗಿತು. ನಂತರ ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಪುನಃ ಗಡಿಯಾರ ಕಂಬದ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಗೋಶಾಲೆ ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಜೈನ್ ಮಂದಿರದ ವರೆಗೆ ಶಾಂತಿ ಸಂದೇಶಗಳ ಘೋಷಣೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಾಗುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಜರುಗಿತು. ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾಜದ ಮುಖಂಡರು, ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು, ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
