ಗಂಗಾವತಿ: ಇದು ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾತ್ಮಕ ಯುಗ. ಅದರಲ್ಲೂ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾತ್ಮಕ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಫಲ್ಯತೆ ಗಳಿಸುವುದು ಸುಲಭ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಲ್ಲ. ಆಳವಾದ ಅಧ್ಯಯನದಿಂದ ಮಾತ್ರ ಯಶಸ್ಸು ಸಾಧ್ಯ ಎಂದು ಹಗರಿಬೊಮ್ಮನಹಳ್ಳಿಯ ಜಿವಿಪಿಪಿ ಸರಕಾರಿ ಸರಕಾರಿ ಪ್ರಥಮ ದರ್ಜೆ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರಾದ ಡಾ.ನಾಗೇಂದ್ರಪ್ಪ ಬಿ. ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ನಗರದ ಶ್ರೀ ಕೊಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಗೇಶ್ವರರಾವ್‌ ಗಂಗಯ್ಯ ಸರಕಾರಿ ಪ್ರಥಮ ದರ್ಜೆ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಂಗಳವಾರ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಇತಿಹಾಸ ಮತ್ತು ಪುರಾತತ್ವ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಅಶ್ರಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಆಂತರಿಕ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟ ಭರವಸೆ ಕೋಶದ ಸಹಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾತ್ಮಕ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇತಿಹಾಸ ಅಧ್ಯಯನದ ಮಹತ್ವ ಕುರಿತು ಅವರು ವಿಶೇಷ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾತ್ಮಕ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇತಿಹಾಸ ಅಧ್ಯಯನದ ಮಹತ್ವ ದೊಡ್ಡಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯ ನೂರು ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 15-20 ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳು ಇತಿಹಾಸ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಆಧರಿಸಿರುತ್ತವೆ. ಇತಿಹಾಸದ ಅಧ್ಯಯನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂಲಾಧಾರಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಇತಿಹಾಸದ ಕಾಲಾನುಕ್ರಮದ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾರ್ಯಕಾರಣ ಸಂಬಂಧದ ಗ್ರಹಿಕೆ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾತ್ಮಕ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅತಿ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಚಾರ್ಯ ಡಾ.ಶಿವರಾಜ ಜಿ.ಗುರಿಕಾರ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಇತಿಹಾಸ ಮರೆತವರು ಇತಿಹಾಸ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಲಾರರು. ಆಸಕ್ತಿ, ಕಲಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಗ್ರಹಿಕೆ ಅಧ್ಯಯನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಪಾತ್ರ ವಹಿಸುತ್ತವೆ. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಇತಿಹಾಸ ಓದುವುದಕ್ಕಷ್ಟೇ ಸೀಮಿತವಾಗಬಾರದು. ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾತ್ಮಕ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿನ ಇತಿಹಾಸ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಲು ಸನ್ನದ್ಧರಾಗಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಕನ್ನಡ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರಾದ ಡಾ.ಮುಮ್ತಾಜ್‌ ಬೇಗಂ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾತ್ಮಕ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಣಿಯಾಗಬೇಕೆಂದರೆ ಟೇಬಲ್‌, ಕುರ್ಚಿ, ಜಗಮಗಿಸುವ ಬೆಳಕು ಇರಬೇಕೆಂದಿಲ್ಲ. ಡಾ.ಬಾಬಾಸಾಹೇಬ್‌ ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್‌, ಡಾ.ಅಬ್ದುಲ್‌ ಕಲಾಂ ಅವರ ಬದುಕು ನಮಗೆ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಯಾಗಬೇಕು. ನಾಯಿಕೊಡೆಗಳಂತಿರುವ ತರಬೇತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲಿತರೆ ಯಶಸ್ಸು ಸಿಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬುದು ತಪ್ಪು ಗ್ರಹಿಕೆ. ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಕುಳಿತು ಕಂಠಪಾಠ ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ವಿಷಯದ ಎಲ್ಲ ಆಯಾಮಗಳನ್ನು ಅರಿತು ಓದಿ, ಗ್ರಹಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರೆ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾತ್ಮಕ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗೆಲುವು ಪಡೆಯಬಹುದು ಎಂದರು.
ಇತಿಹಾಸ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕ ಡಾ.ಇಬ್ರಾಹೀಂ ಸಾಬ ಪ್ರಾಸ್ತಾವಿಕ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಇಂದಿನ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾತ್ಮಕ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇತಿಹಾಸ ವಿಷಯ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

Gangavathi: This is a competitive era. It is not easy to achieve success, especially in competitive exams. Success is possible only through in-depth study, said Dr. Nagendrappa B., Assistant Professor at GVPP Government First Grade College, Hagaribommanahalli.
He gave a special lecture on the importance of history study in competitive exams held on Tuesday in the auditorium of Sri Kolli Nageshwara Rao Gangaiah Government First Grade College in the city under the auspices of the college’s History and Archaeological Studies Department and in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell.
The importance of history study in competitive exams is huge. Out of the hundred questions in the general paper, about 15-20 questions are based on history. He said that the fundamentals of the study of history and the understanding of the chronological and causal relationships of cultural history are very important in competitive examinations.
The principal of the college, Dr. Shivaraj G. Gurikara, who presided over the meeting, said that those who forget history cannot create history. Interest, learning and understanding play an important role in studies. Students should not be limited to just reading history. They should be prepared to create a history of success in competitive examinations.
Dr. Mumtaz Begum, Assistant Professor of the Kannada Department, said that to prepare for competitive examinations, it is not necessary to have a table, chair, or bright light. The lives of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and Dr. Abdul Kalam should inspire us. It is a misconception that success can be achieved by studying in training centers that are like dog kennels. He said that instead of sitting at home and memorizing, if you understand, read, and comprehend all the dimensions of the subject, you can win in competitive examinations.
Dr. Ibrahim Saba, Assistant Professor, Department of History, gave the introductory speech and highlighted the importance of history in today’s competitive exams.
