ಕೊಪ್ಪಳ: ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಮುನಿರಾಬಾದ ಸಮೀಪದ ಬಸಾಪುರ ಹಾಗೂ ಬಂಡಿ ಹರ್ಲಾಪುರ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳ ನಡುವಿನ 13ನೇ ಮೈಲಿಯ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ತುಂಗಭದ್ರಾ ಎಡದಂಡೆ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಕಾಲುವೆ ಒಡೆದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬುಧವಾರ ಕೊಪ್ಪಳ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ನಿಕಟಪೂರ್ವ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿ ಬಸವರಾಜ ಕ್ಯಾವಟರ್ ಸೇರಿ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಮುಖಂಡರು ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿದರು.

ಕಾಲುವೆಯಿಂದ ಅಪಾರ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ನೀರು ನದಿ ಪಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಹರಿದು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿದ್ದಲ್ಲದೇ ರೈತರ ಬೆಳೆ ಹಾಳಾಗಿರುವುದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಮಮ್ಮಲ ಮರಗಿದರು. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ, ಕಾಲುವೆ ಆಧುನೀಕರಣ ಮಾಡದ ಸರಕಾರದ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಖಂಡಿಸಿದರು.

ಈ ವಿಚಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರಾವರಿ ಸಲಹಾ ಸಮಿತಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿರುವ ಸಚಿವ, ಶಿವರಾಜ್ ತಂಗಡಗಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಶಾಸಕ ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ಹಿಟ್ನಾಳ್ ಅವರ ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯವೇ ಈ ದುರಂತಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣ.  ಸಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಎಚ್ಚೇತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಕಾಲುವೆ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ಆಧುನೀಕರಣ ಮುಗಿಸಿದ್ದರೇ ಇಷ್ಟೊಂದು ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಆಕ್ರೋಶ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿ, ರೈತರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ತುಂಗಭದ್ರಾ ಜಲಾಶಯದಿಂದ ದಿಢೀರನೇ ನೀರಿನ ಹರಿವನ್ನು 200 ಕ್ಯೂಸೆಕ್ ದಿಂದ 2000 ಕ್ಯೂಸೆಕ್ ಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿದರ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಈ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಅನುಭವಿಸಿದೆ.

 

 

 

ಕಳೆದ ಮೂರು ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆಯೇ ಎಡದಂಡೆ ಕಾಲುವೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಂದ್ರ ಬಿದ್ದಿರುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿ ಸರಿಪಡಿಸಲು ಅಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಆದರೆ, ಕಾಳಜಿ ವಹಿಸಬೇಕಾದ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಕೂಡ ಈ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷತೋರಿಸಿದರ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಕಾಲುವೆ ಒಡೆದು ನೀರು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.

ಬೇಸಿಗೆ ಹಿನ್ನಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಪ್ಪಳ ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಯಚೂರು ನಗರ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕೆರೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರು ಪೂರೈಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಕಾಲುವೆಗೆ ನೀರು ಹರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.

ಆದರೆ, ಕಾಲುವೆ ಒಡೆದಿರುವ ಪರಿಣಾಮದಿಂದ ಎರಡು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರಿನ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಎದುರಾಗುವ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದೆ. ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾಲುವೆಯಿಂದ ಪೋಲಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ನೀರಿನಿಂದ ಅಕ್ಕ ಪಕ್ಕದ ಬೆಳೆಗಳಿಗೂ ಕೂಡ ನಷ್ಟವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಇಲ್ಲಿಯ ರೈತರು ಕೂಡ ನಷ್ಟ ಅನುಭವಿಸುವಂತಾಗಿದೆ.
ತಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಪಟ್ಟ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ರೈತರಿಗೆ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಪರಿಹಾರ ನೀಡುವ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಿದೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಈ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ಬೇಗ ಸರಿಪಡಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದರು.

ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷ ತುಂಗಭದ್ರಾ ಡ್ಯಾಮ್ ನ 19ನೇ ಕ್ರೆಸ್ಟ್ ಗೇಟ್ ಮುರಿದು ರೈತರ ಎರಡನೇ ಬೆಳೆಗೆ ನೀರು ಸಿಗದಂತಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಇದೀಗ ಕಾಲುವೆ ಒಡೆದು ನೀರು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ರೈತರಿಗೆ ಗಾಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರೆ ಎಳೆದಂತಾಗಿದೆ.

ರಾಜ್ಯ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಸರಕಾರ ಮೊದಲಿಂದಲೂ ತುಂಗಭದ್ರಾ ಎಂದರೇ ತುಂಬಾ ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ನಮಗೆಲ್ಲ ತಿಳಿದಿರುವ ಸಂಗತಿಯಾಗಿದೆ.
ಇದೇ ಸಂಧರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಘಟನೆ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರಕಾರದ ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ನಿದರ್ಶನವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಕ್ಯಾವಟರ್ ಅವರು ಸರಕಾರದ ಆಡಳಿತ ವೈಫಲ್ಯ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಕಿಡಿಕಾರಿದರು‌.

ಈ ಸಂಧರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖಂಡರಾದ ಮಹಾಂತೇಶ್ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಮೈನಳ್ಳಿ, ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ನಗರ ಘಟಕ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಅಮರೇಶ ಮುರುಳಿ, ಪ್ರದೀಪ್ ಹಿಟ್ನಾಳ್, ಪ್ರಭುಗೌಡ ಹುಲಿಗಿ, ಗಣೇಶ ಹೊರತಟ್ನಾಳ್, ವಸಂತ ನಾಯಕ್, ರವಿ ಹೊಸಳ್ಳಿ, ಹನುಮಂತಪ್ಪ ಹುಲಿಗಿ, ಹೈದರ್ ಅಲಿ, ನರಸಿಂಹಲ್ಲು ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

Koppal: BJP leaders, including the immediate past BJP candidate from Koppal Lok Sabha constituency Basavaraj Cavatar, visited the site of the Tungabhadra left bank main canal rupture in the 13th mile area between Basapura and Bandi Harlapur villages near Muniraba in the taluk on Wednesday and inspected it.

Mammala was shocked to see that a huge amount of water had flowed into the riverbed and was wasted, and the farmers’ crops had been damaged. He also condemned the government’s decision not to modernize the canal.

The negligence of Minister Shivraj Tangadgi, who is the chairman of the Irrigation Advisory Committee, and MLA Raghavendra Hitnal in this matter is the reason for this tragedy. They expressed their anger saying that if they had woken up in time and completed the modernization of the canal work, this would not have been such a problem, and they joined the farmers and protested at the site. This problem has been caused by the sudden increase in the water flow from the Tungabhadra reservoir from 200 cusecs to 2000 cusecs.

Local villagers had informed the authorities about the hole in the left bank canal three months ago and demanded that it be repaired.

However, even the authorities who should have taken care of the problem have neglected this problem, resulting in the canal breaking and wasting water.

During the summer, water was being pumped into the canal to supply drinking water to the urban areas of Koppal and Raichur, rural areas and lakes.

However, due to the breaking of the canal, the people of the two districts have been facing drinking water problems. And the water being wasted from the canal has also caused damage to the crops in the surrounding areas, and the farmers here are also suffering.

They demanded that the concerned officials should immediately reach the spot and provide appropriate relief to the farmers and fix this problem as soon as possible.

Last year, the 19th crest gate of the Tungabhadra Dam broke, causing water shortage for the farmers’ second crop.
Now, the canal is breaking and water is being wasted, which is a pain in the ass for the farmers.

We all know that the state Congress government has been very negligent about the Tungabhadra since the beginning.
On this occasion, Cavatar said that this incident is another example of the state government’s negligence and criticized the government’s administrative failure.

On this occasion, leaders Mahantesh Patil Mainalli, BJP city unit president Amaresh Murali, Pradeep Hitnal, Prabhugowda Huligi, Ganesh Horattnal, Vasanth Nayak, Ravi Hosalli, Hanumanthappa Huligi, Haider Ali, Narasimhallu and locals were present.
