ಕೊಪ್ಪಳ: ಇತ್ತೀಚಿಗೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದ ಭಾರಿ ಗಾಳಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮಳೆಯಿಂದ ಹಾನಿಗೊಳಗಾದ ರೈತರ ಪ್ರತಿ ಎಕರೆಗೆ 5 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಪರಿಹಾರ ನೀಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಜೆಡಿಎಸ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಸುರೇಶ್ ಭೂಮರಡ್ಡಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಡಳಿತವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಸೋಮವಾರ ಜೆಡಿಎಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಮುಖಂಡರ ನಿಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕೊಪ್ಪಳ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಹ್ಯಾಟಿ, ಮೆಳ್ಳಿಕೇರಿ, ಮುದ್ದಾಬಳ್ಳಿ ಭಾಗಗಳ ಹೊಲಗಳಿಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಮಳೆಯಿಂದ ಉಂಟಾದ ಹಾನಿಯನ್ನು ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.
ಸುಮಾರು 150 ಎಕರೆ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿತ್ತನೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದ ಬಾಳೆ, ಕಬ್ಬು, ಎಲೆಬಳ್ಳಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರೆ ಬೆಳೆಗಳು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನೆಲ ಕಚ್ಚಿವೆ. ಕೃಷಿ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ರೈತರು ಇಡೀ ವರ್ಷ ಲಕ್ಷಾಂತರ ರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನು ವ್ಯಯಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕಟಾವಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಬೆಳೆಗಳು ಹಾಳಾಗಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ರೈತರು ಭಾರಿ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ನಷ್ಟ ಅನುಭವಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ,” ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಕನಿಷ್ಠಪಕ್ಷ ಪ್ರತಿ ಎಕರೆಗೆ 5 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಘೋಷಣೆ ಆಗಬೇಕು. ನಿಯಮಾವಳಿಗಳ ನೆಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಣ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಗೆ ವಿಳಂಬ ಮಾಡಬಾರದು. ಶಾಸಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆ ನಡೆಸಿ ವರದಿ ಸಿದ್ದ ಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದಷ್ಟು ಶೀಘ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಹಾರ ನಿಧಿ ನೇರವಾಗಿ ರೈತರ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಖಾತೆಗಳಿಗೆ ತಲುಪಬೇಕು. ಅತಿರೇಕದ ಘಟನೆಗಳು ಸಂಭವಿಸುವ ಮೊದಲೇ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಡಳಿತ ಎಚ್ಚೆತ್ತುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಮುಖಂಡರು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದರು.
ನಿಯೋಗವು ಹ್ಯಾಟಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ರೈತರಾದ ಈಶಪ್ಪ ಎಡ್ರಮನಹಳ್ಳಿ, ವೆಂಕಣ್ಣ ಡಂಬಳ್ಳಿ, ಕೊಟ್ರೇಶ ಸಣ್ಣ ಮುದಿಯಪ್ಪನವರ್, ವೆಂಕಣ್ಣ ಸಣ್ಣ ಮದಿಯಪ್ಪನವರ್, ಮಲ್ಲಯ್ಯ ಗಣಚಾರಿ, ಬಸಣ್ಣ ಸಿಗ್ನಳ್ಳಿ, ಸಂತೋಷ ಸಿಗ್ನಳ್ಳಿ ಅವರ ಜಮೀನುಗಳಿಗೆ ಭೇಟಿಕೊಟ್ಟು ರೈತರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತುಕತೆ ನಡೆಸಿತು.
ನಿಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ತಾಲೂಕು ಜೆಡಿಎಸ್ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ ಏಣಿಗಿ, ಕೊಪ್ಪಳ ತಾಲೂಕು ಜೆಡಿಎಸ್ ಎಸ್ ಸಿ ಘಟಕದ ತಾಲೂಕು ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಸುರೇಶ ಪುಜಾರಿ, ಕೊಪ್ಪಳ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಮಾರುತಿಗೌಡ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಪಾಟೀಲ್, ನಗರ ಘಟಕ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಸೋಮುನಗೌಡ ಹೊಗಾರನಾಳ, ಜೆಡಿಎಸ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಯುವ ಘಟಕದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ರವಿ ಮೇದಾರ, ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಮುಖಂಡರಾದ ಪ್ರಕಾಶರೆಡ್ಡಿ ಬಸರಗಿಡದ, ಮಂಜುನಾಥ ರೋಡ್ಡರ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.
JDS demands Rs 5 lakh compensation per acre
Koppala: JDS district president Suresh Bhummaraddi has demanded the district administration to provide Rs 5 lakh compensation per acre to farmers affected by the recent heavy winds and rains.
On Monday, he visited the fields of Hatti, Mellikeri and Muddaballi areas of Koppal taluk with a delegation of JDS party leaders and spoke about the damage caused by the rains.
“Banana, sugarcane, leafy vegetables and other crops sown in about 150 acres have completely rotted.
Farmers have spent lakhs of rupees for the entire year on agricultural activities. Farmers have suffered huge losses as the crops that were harvested were damaged,” he said.
At least Rs 5 lakh compensation should be announced per acre. There should be no delay in releasing the money on the pretext of regulations. The MLAs and officials have conducted a survey and prepared a report. The relief fund should reach the farmers’ bank accounts directly as soon as possible. The leaders demanded that the district administration should wake up before any untoward incidents occur.
The delegation visited the lands of farmers of Hatti village, namely Eeshappa Edramanahalli, Venkanna Damballi, Kotresha Sanna Mudiappanavar, Venkanna Sanna Madiappanavar, Mallaiah Ganachari, Basanna Signalli, and Santosh Signalli, and held talks with the farmers.
The delegation included Taluk JDS General Secretary Shivakumar Enigi, Taluk President of Koppal Taluk JDS SC Unit Suresh Pujari, Koppal District Industrial President Maruthi Gowda Police Patil, Urban Unit President Somunagowda Hogaranala, JDS District Youth Unit President Ravi Medara, District leaders Prakasareddy Basaragida, Manjunath Rodara and others.
