ಕೊಪ್ಪಳ: ಅಹಿಂಸೆ ಪರಮಧರ್ಮ ಎಂದ ಜೈನ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಬಲ್ಡೋಟ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಕೊಲೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಹೊರಟಿರುವದು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಖೇದಕರ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಷಾಧದ ಸಂಗತಿ ಎಂದು ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಅಲ್ಲಮಪ್ರಭು ಬೆಟ್ಟದೂರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಅವರು ನಗರಸಭೆ ಮುಂಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಬಚಾವೋ ಆಂದೋಲನ ಸಮಿತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಸರ ಹಿತರಕ್ಷಣಾ ವೇದಿಕೆಯ ಜಂಟಿ ಕ್ರಿಯಾ ವೇದಿಕೆ ಮೂಲಕ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಬಲ್ಡೋಟ ಇತರೆ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆಗಳ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಸ್ತರಣಾ ವಿರೋಧಿಸಿ ನಡೆಸಿರುವ ಅನಿರ್ಧಿಷ್ಟ ಧರಣಿಯ 151ನೇ ದಿನದ ಹೋರಾಟದ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜೈನ ತೀರ್ಥಂಕರ ಮಹಾವೀರರ ಜಯಂತಿ ಆಚರಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.
ಬಲ್ಡೋಟ ಜೈನ ಸಮುದಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಅವರು ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಲಕ್ಷಾಂತರ ಜನರ ಬದುಕಿಗೆ ಕೊಳ್ಳಿ ಇಡಲು ಹೊರಟಿರುವದು ನೋವಿನ ಸಂಗತಿ. ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಇತಿಹಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ಯ, ಅಹಿಂಸೆ, ಸಂಯಮ, ತ್ಯಾಗವನ್ನು ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದವರು. ಆದರೆ ನಾವು ಐದು ತಿಂಗಳಿನಿಂದ ನಿರಂತರ ಧರಣಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿಯೂ ಆ ರೀತಿ ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿರುವದು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸೋಜಿಗದ ಸಂಗತಿ. ಭಾರತದ ನಾಗರಿಕತೆ ಒಂದೇ ಸಮನೆ ಬಂದಿಲ್ಲ, ಅದು ಸುಧೀರ್ಘ ಇತಿಹಾಸ. ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿರ ತರುವ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿದ ತೀರ್ಥಂಕರರು ಬೇಗ ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಕೊಡಲಿ ಎಂದು ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.

He said that truth, non-violence, restraint and sacrifice should be adopted by man in the history of the world. But it is very sad that we are behaving like this even after observing that we have been protesting continuously for five months. Indian civilization did not come all at once, it is a long history.
